Bio-inspired Robotics

Bio-inspired robotics draws from nature’s designs to create robots capable of mimicking the movements and adaptability of biological organisms. Applications include robots modelled after animals for disaster response and terrain navigation, where conventional designs typically fail. For example, quadruped robots inspired by mammals excel in rugged terrain, while fish-inspired robots advance underwater exploration. Addressing challenges in mobility, this research has applications in areas such as environmental monitoring, logistics, and industrial automation.
