Autonomous Ground Vehicles and Intelligent Transportation

Research on autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs) and intelligent transportation systems develops technologies that enable vehicles to navigate complex urban and rural environments. By leveraging AI, real-time sensor fusion, and IoT, these vehicles interact with smart infrastructure to navigate routes and ensure safety. Applications include last-mile delivery, automated transit, and agriculture. This research supports Canada’s and Alberta’s goals for reducing emissions, improving public mobility, and increasing efficiency in logistics networks, positioning them as leaders in intelligent transportation solutions.
